Translation Philosophy

Translation is not as simple as putting words into another language.  It is a science and an art

It is a science because the translator has to have years of training not just in learning a second language but also in the science of translating exactly what the original author meant and how exactly to write it in the target language.

It is an art, because the translator has to be extremely familiar with how language is used in the two languages and be able to make the translated document read as if it had been written by a native speaker.  The original sense of the document cannot be lost, but it also has to make sense to the reader.

Translation Team

Our translation team is made up of management, translators, subject matter experts, proofreaders, and formatters.  All team members are experts in their fields, and all subscribe to a strict and vigorously enforced Code of Ethics.

Translation Process

When we receive the translation order, the translation manager will examine it and assign the best translator for the language and subject matter.  When the translator completes work, the proofreader will ensure that the document reads properly and that all the "I's" are dotted and the "T's" crossed.  The subject matter expert, who is a native speaker of the target language, then ensures that the document makes sense to a native speaker.  Any corrections are reviewed by the proofreader.  The document is then formatted exactly the way the customer wants it.  We have word processing experts who will format the document in numerous formats.  It is important to remember that we don't just translate, but for one economical price, we...translate, proofread and format.
